I'm a Postdoctoral Scholar in Caltech's Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, supervised by Joel Tropp.
I'm broadly interested in algorithms, discrete mathematics, functional analysis, and probability. I've analyzed numerical algorithms for computing eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices, and worked on questions from random matrix theory, spectral graph theory, free probability, and the analytic theory of polynomials.
I got my Ph.D. from the mathematics department at UC Berkeley, where I was co-advised by Nikhil Srivastava and Dan-Virgil Voiculescu. Here is my thesis, CV, and Google Scholar.
